Particle - と - And - and, with, as
The particle と can be used to combine multiple things: 猫と犬 (Cats and Dogs). Note that when using the particle と to say something about multiple things, you also say it only applies to the things you list: 猫と犬は好きです (I Only like Cats and Dogs). The particle や can be used to say other things may also apply.
It can also be used to say you're doing an action with someone or something: 友達と歩きます (I walk with a friend).
When using it as a conjunction (word between 2 sentences), it is used to say: If [first sentence] then [last sentence].
