Combining Verbs - I ending - Combine multiple verbs

By conjugating a verb into the ~I ending (ex. 歌う -> 歌い), a second verb can be added. This can be used to combine the meaning of some verbs.

Sample sentences

  • 突然彼らは笑い出した
    All at once they began to laugh
  • 彼は歌い続けた
    He continued singing
  • 彼らは愛し合っている
    They love each other
  • 彼女は話し続けた
    She continued her talk
